Group visits of the 30m telescope are organized from May to September. IRAM provides transport to and from the observatory, located at an altitude of more than 2800 meter. The guided tours include the observatory's control room, the telescope and the telescope's interior: elevation motors, antenna mount and receiver cabin.
Please send your requests at least two weeks in advance to the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Additional group visits are organized together with the IAA. For more information click here.
Due to the observatory's high altitude, limited means of transport and extreme weather conditions, access to the NOEMA interferometer is only possible during the summer months from May to September.
Guided tours are scheduled every six weeks, for groups only. The maximum number of persons is 14 per group. Please understand that we can not welcome children under the age of twelve nor elementary school classes at the NOEMA observatory. The guided tour takes about one hour and is free of charge (access via the IRAM cable car).
If you are interested, please send your request for a guided tour (including a short explanation for your specific interest in the observatory) to the following e-mail address: email@example.com.
Please note that due to technical problems, access to the NOEMA observatory is currently not possible (except for IRAM staff). Group visits will be re-scheduled in 2018.
For our French visitors/Pour nos visiteurs français:
L’observatoire NOEMA est un site de haute montagne, avec des moyens de transport limités, et des conditions météorologiques parfois extrêmes. Aussi, son accès n’est-il possible que pendant les mois d’été, de mai à septembre.
