It is the persons on all levels that are at the center of IRAM’s science, technology, development, operation and administration. Over more than 40 years of existence, many astronomers and engineers have contributed to IRAM’s success, as postdocs, interns or staff astronomers. We have tried to find out what they have become after their time at IRAM.
Activity sector of over 80 former postdocs, PhD students or staff astronomers in 40 years of IRAM existence, as of January 2024. Over 80% of the former IRAM post-docs are still working in the research field. Credit: IRAM.
Please find below a non-exhaustive list of former IRAM postdocs, PhD students and staff astronomers classified by date of their arrival at IRAM. In over 40 years, IRAM has welcomed more than 80 postdocs from all over the world. Approximately one third of them were part of the IRAM Granada family, the majority were part of the Grenoble headquarters team.
The list includes the current affiliations of these former IRAM colleagues, as of August 2024.
