The 12th IRAM millimeter interferometry school will be held in the week of November 18, 2024 at the IRAM headquarters (Grenoble, France).
It is intended for students, post-docs and other scientists who want to acquire a good knowledge of interferometry and data processing techniques at millimeter wavelengths, with a special emphasis on the NOEMA interferometer and its new capabilities.
In addition to presentations of the basics of millimeter interferometry, from interferometric observations to the processing of interferometric data, the program will also include practical tutorials on data imaging techniques and on how to propose for NOEMA observation time. We are currently working to organise a visit to the NOEMA observatory for the participants. However, we caution that this will be subjected to the weather conditions.
Please note that in order to give more chances to candidates with currently uncertain calendars, the pre-registration deadline has been extended. Interested candidates should fill in the pre-registration form by June 13, 2024.
The maximum number of participants is limited to 50.
Limited funding is available to cover accommodation expenses of participants travelling with a tight budget.
Important dates:
- June 13, 2024: pre-registration closed
- Early July, 2024: final list of accepted participants determined
